Dr. Alvin Krauss
Having grown up in an expatriate family I was confronted with the practical experiences − and sometimes challenges − of temporarily living abroad, I have been familiar with the topic of “Living as an expatriate” since early childhood. My parents had job assignments in Germany, Argentina, Spain and Switzerland. In the course of my own professional career, numerous business contacts have confirmed the various needs of a large number of expatriates in Vienna.

Angela Flaes
Born in Belgium, as a Dutch citizen and as part of a family whose members live scattered in various countries, I have been familiar with different cultures and languages from an early age onwards. I grew up in Alicante (E) and attended the French Lycée there. At the age of fifteen I moved to Utrecht (NL) and continued my education at the International School Beverweerd. Studies at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence and Avignon (F) followed. In 1983-1984 my next education move took me to the Centro di Studi per Stranieri in Florence (I). My journey through life finally led me to Vienna (A) where I studied International Affairs at Webster University. In the past few years I have gathered extensive experience in the travel and event management business as well as in the corporate and media business.
Furthermore, I have developed an affinity for interior design and decoration, activities which have received a positive response from acquaintances and friends. My life and work experiences have been marked by frequent changes and several moves to new homes. The immersion in new cultures and languages has been very inspiring and has shaped my life and my personality as a European citizen. I would like to pass on to other people my knowledge and enthusiasm for the wide variety of ways of life. I have a grown-up son and live together with an Austrian citizen.
